A Volunteer Tested for Corona Immunizations is emerging

The first human to be tested for a vaccine against corona virus has begun to undergo this test in the United States. Four patients received a viral injection at the Kaiser Permanente research center in Seattle, Washington, reports the Associated Press news agency.

The vaccine may not cause Covid-19 but it contains viral genes that can cause illness. Experts say it will take months to find out if this vaccine, or any other study, will be successful.

The first person to volunteer to receive the first dose of the study on Monday was the mother of two 43-year-old Seattle Washington residents.

"This is an exciting opportunity for me to be able to do something," said the woman identified as Jennifer Haller in an interview with the AP news agency.

Scientists around the world are speeding up their research to try to find a vaccine or coronavirus cure.

And this first human experiment, sponsored by the National Institute of Health in the United States, has been done separately to look at what would normally be done to ensure vaccination can result in stimulation of the immune system in animals.

But the paramedic technology company that runs the study, Moderna Therapeutics, says the vaccine has been developed using the tested and tested process.
